London
London is one of the biggest city of Europe due to it has a surface
with more than 1,500 km2 and a population that surpasses 7 million
people.
The city centre is situated around the Thames river, although
it has not a unique city centre but several of them are distributed
in a considerably ample area. The most famous ones are Westminster
and Whitehall, Trafalgar
Square, Piccadilly
Circus, Soho and The
City, among others.
The commercial, artistic and social life is one of richest of
the world, comparable with cities like New York or Paris. Their
inhabitants feel especially proud of their city and sometimes
they can be quiet conceited and chauvinistic. The theatre and
cinema premières compete with the richness of the museums
and the abundance of exhibitions and events
that take place in the city.
In 2000 the city got better with the construction of the London
Eye and the Millennium Dome.
London is, without doubt, one of the world capitals.
